I've started buying glasses through Eyebuydirect since 2021. I recently decided to update my look, and immediately came back to this shop because most of my glasses from 2021 were still the ones I used to this day and they're not ready for replacement (other than wanting to upgrade my style). I had a few favourite shapes and colours in mind beforehand, which were easy to find with the filter system in Eyebuydirect's vast catalogue. I really appreciate the try-on feature as well as reviews of other clients with photos, to help me determine the final size and whether they would fit me. Price-wise I can only praise this website, and the short explanations when picking glasses and extras helps me determine just how cheap I can go or if I should spring for scratch and reflection protection, for instance (I always do). Love buying on this site every few years and might be back for sunnies soon!
The shipping was fast and the glasses would be perfect except that in the sun they don't darken enough so I have to use clip ons since my eyes are very sensitive to light and I bought these glasses so that I wouldn't have to continue to wear 2 separate pairs of glasses, one for indoors and one for outdoors
Buying glasses online is scary because you can't try them on and you can't just swing by a store for an adjustment, but I have had wonderful experiences with eyebuydirect standing by its products and refunding or exchanging glasses when I've needed to. I will always buy my glasses from ebd when they treat customers so well.
This was my first pair of prescription eyeglasses. The process was amazingly easy and when I got them I was so happy with the results!
Had some issues going through the selctions. Was not clear a selection was needed so I was stuck for. A bit. Maybe a progress bar would help.
I figured out the pricing by the end of my purchase but when I went to the chat. They could not help and referred my to a phone number. I am not fond of calling and taking the time for a simple break down of my price. Thats all I needed.
Your site is great. The one thing I would like is if the shipping amount was available earlier. The page right before checkout gave me a bar saying I was only $8 away from free shipping, but I didn't see anywhere on that page how much shipping was, so I didn't know if it was worth spending another $8.

I am purchasing prescription glasses for my husband and my self. After going to the eye doc and having sticker shock even with insurance. I am very pleased with the prices and discounts and with the selection!
Always been good. If you get the really cheap frames, you get what you pay for. Pay a little more and get much better frames. I've had one prescription that was bad, but it was the doctor's fault, and EBD fixed it. They also replaced a pair when I really hated the glasses that I got.
My lenses have cracked at the frame on two different pairs of glasses. They replaced the first pair under warranty, but the second pair did the exact same thing.
Went to repurchase a pair of glasses I got last year. Price is up $20. Love the site. Almost exclusively buy glasses here. Likely to do so for decades to come. Would be better if the quality were higher so that I don't have to repurchase annually or that the price were more reasonable.

If a pair you bought doesn't fit, shipping it back is a hassle. And I think for some reason my last pair must have had problems with the coating layer for it to be so hard to clean.

When they're on, they're on. When they're not, they'll send you wonky lenses and give you the 20 Questions treatment trying to get you to do an exchange rather than straight up return them.
Idk how customer service is because I've gotten exactly what I wanted every time. I just ordered my 6th pair within 6 months.
My insurance only covers Warby Parker and EBD are cheaper than WP's options even after the insurance benefit, plus they have way more and way cuter options in more sizes. I somehow used insurance benefits on my first purchase (didn't mean to, my insurance doesn't cover EBD, as I said) and wanted to return them but couldn't for whatever reason, so I emailed them and they sent me a return label with no questions asked and gave me a partial refund. Just ordered my second pair!

I had ordered glasses from so-called local reputable place, but they were scratched so badly after only having them a few weeks that I decided to order them through I buy direct. The glasses from my first purchase was more than four times what I paid at. I buy direct.
Answer: Or you can be like me and have not received your order after more than a month of waiting. Granted, I'm in Guam, but given that the USPS works here pretty much the same way it works in the states, no other retailer has any problem getting their packages to me in a timely manner. The company has sent me two different tracking numbers for the same package. The tracking report from the post office says the package was supposed to be here 12 days ago and the last time it appears the package was scanned was 24 days ago. I have emailed the company multiple times and every time they reply with some generic apology and continue to stall. The package clearly got lost in the mail, I get that and I am typically a reasonable person but any respectable merchant intent on providing good customer service in today's online marketplace would have owned up to the issue and offered a refund or have already shipped out a replacement product. They've done neither. Does it mean they are bad people running a bad business? Probably not. However, it does mean there are probably better companies out there to give your business to who won't take so long to get you your glasses.
Answer: It depends on the frame. Some are plastic, some are metal, and there are other materials used as well. The descriptions will indicate the materials they are made out of. I've ordered 3 pairs from EBD ($6 and $9 pairs--cheapest there are) and they are excellent quality. An equivalent pair of frames alone from the store would have cost $150+, not including lenses.
Answer: I received two pairs very quickly but was very disappointed when i put them on only to find out the prescription was completely wrong. There are no refund or exchange directions in your website or with the packaging, so I did not know the number to call. Please get in touch with me asap about exchanging the glasses for ones with the correct lenses. Thank you very much.
