Last year, One.com suddenly announced that they were counting their mandatory site backups differently in terms of their contribution to the storage you are paying for. If you were using more than 50% of the storage you had been paying for, they would automatically move you up a bracket and start billing you for a more expensive package so they could use your storage quota for their mandatory backups. The notice period they gave to delete all your files before they started doubling the price was very short, and came partway through the billing year. They also announce new charges for things like PhP, wordpress etc arbitrarily to try and increase how much you spend each year. It is also extremely difficult to opt out of these without talking to a representative.
